Entry Form and Fees Due July 2, 2001

Entry Fee: $6.00 Per Entry
Entry forms and bottle entry labels will be available at walk-in shop locations, from Los Angeles County Fair Creative Expressions Dept., or from the organizer.
1. The competition is open only to individuals 21 years of age or over. Brewing teams are allowed, but no club entries will be accepted.
2. All entries must be made on a home brewing system.
3. Contestants are limited to one (1) beer entry per Subclass. All entries must be listed on a fully completed copy of the Entry Form. If the judges should know about special ingredients, such as specific herbs used in an herb beer, these ingredients should be specified on the Entry Form.
4. Contestants must enter three (3) 10 to 16-ounce brown, green or clear glass bottles with crown caps per entry. Bottles and caps must be plain, clean and free of any labels or identifying marks. Each bottle must have a fully completed copy of the Los Angeles County Fair Bottle Identification Form or reasonable facsimile attached by a rubber band only. DO NOT USE GLUE OR TAPE. All entries become property of the Maltose Falcons Home Brewing Society.
5. DEADLINE for receipt of completed entry form and entry fees is Monday, July 2, 2000. Forms and fees must be sent to Creative Expressions Department, Los Angeles County Fair, P.O. Box 2250, Pomona, CA 91768.
6. DEADLINE for beer entries is Friday, July 13, 2001. Entries (bottles) must be sent Prepaid or delivered between the hours of 8 AM to 5PM, to Los Angeles County Fair, Creative Expressions Department, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, CA 91768, or walked in to designated walk-in locations.
8. The following shops will accept walk-ins until closing time Friday, July 13, 2001. Home Wine & Beer & Cheese Making Shop, 22836 Ventura Blvd., Unit #2, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 (818) 884-8586. 9. All entries sent or delivered to a shop must be marked ATTN: LA County Fair. No exceptions or walk-ins at judging will be allowed.
10. Entries not complying with these rules may still be judged, but will not be eligible for prizes or awards. Ribbons for first, second and third place will be awarded in each beer style Class, subject to the decisions of the judges. All decisions of the judges and competition organizer are final. Special awards or prizes for certain Classes may also be provided, pending donations from brewing supply shops, micro-breweries, home-brew clubs, and/or private individuals. Recipes may optionally be submitted along with the registration forms for possible publishing in the Maltose Falcons Newsletter.
